Brittany came and met me for lunch (made it up from the village to midtown via the subway all by herself!). We bought lunch @ Crisp and ate in the park while watching construction workers set up the tents for Fashon Week. (She really got a kick out of that.) Britt’s going to wander around here for a few hours, and meet me at 4:15 to say goodbye. As I left her after lunch to go back to the office, I got really really sad all of a sudden - it was strange. I’ve left her (and everyone else) at least a dozen times between college and camp, etc., but it feels different this time. As close as I am to Long Island, it’s wierd knowing that THIS is my home now. I won’t be arguing with Britt every day, playing with Bella, watching movies with my mom, hanging out with Nicole and Laura, or watching Entourage at Smitty’s with all the guys on a weekly basis. Sigh.
As melancholy as I’m feeling - I know I’m going to love living here, it’s just going to take a little while for it to start to feel like “home”.
